(cant get old pic to work)

My old speed from page 2 was:

0.29Mb/s_Download

0.12Mb/s_Upload

The speed from my new ISP. It might not seem that fast but compared to what I had its amazing!

I don't know if it because I am on a wireless connection, or just variances in overall usage, but I get very different results when testing between different servers - or even my local San Diego server - back-to-back and one after the other.

My upload speeds vary between ~1.1Mb/s to ~2Mb/s.

My download speeds vary from around 4Mb/s to ~13Mb/s.

My computer is using a wireless connection, BTW. I suspect I would see better speeds if I was wired directly. And I would suspect if I had a fiber wired connection things would be even better.

I actually got better speeds overall by testing through LA. Too bad I can't select LA as a jump-off point.

I notice mjukis, on the same ISP, has higher speeds than me. 100/100mbit connection could be throttled by the router, I suppose.

On the upside, my Fibre installation is next month, which will rather dramatically boost these numbers. :D

Not bad down but up needs to be better.

It's not funny - I'm right on the distance limit for broadband. The line is supposed to be 1.0Mb, soon to be upgraded to 1.5Mb. That's the best I'm ever going to get :(
