You're only some months behind :D I do hope SG: Universe picks up. With SG-1, Atlantis, and Battlestar gone, there isn't a whole lot of reasons to watch SciFi (the US version) anymore, other than Monday nights for TNG and 2 episodes on Fridays.

It would seem so. Dang it!

I never picked up on Atlantis. I really missed Anderson in the series. For me he made it work.

Wonder if this new one will be any good.

so soon? well, I'll sure look forward to it, though I'm more pessimistic than optimistic about it's quality. but I'm always happy to be wrong in such a case.

I can't figure out if this is going to be more of a Stargate: Voyager or a Stargate: Galactica.  It looks to be more of the latter, but I'm not so sure I trust them to not make it into a we're-lost-but-lets-start-kicking-@$$-anyways-for-no-apparent-reason show, ala Voyager.  Hopefully, it'll make me start watching the SciFi channel again.

Of course, if they actually change their name to SyFy, I may have to block the channel on principle.

Hey, it could've been worse. They could've gone with the "Hello Kitty Channel"....

Since I'm secure in my manhood, I'll go ahead and admit I'd prefer Hello Kitty to syfy.  At least it's actual words instead of retarded shit that "looks cool".

I have a Hello Kitty pin on the back of my yardwork hat, and I don't know much more about it than that a woman I think is cool gave it to me. But I'm very glad to see some more mocking of this SyFy plan. I thought the stupidity was worth an OT thread of its own.

Yeah, Sci-Fi doen't even show any good Sci-Fi stuff anymore.....just stupid crappy B movies and such. What happened to stargate (the other ones), startreck, galactica,  babylon 5, etc. I mean come on...they could at least show re-runs....

I shouldn't even have to pay for ANY re-runs on some cable channels unless on a pay-per-view rate OR on other specialized slots by choice. They get enough attention from me with hypnotically repetitive pub interruptions already. Put a meter calculating On/Off usage on my box connections, if you should.

Didn't get stuff such as "Silver Screen Classics" from Videotron for a reason... new has value, old is past.

At that price, recent TeeVee productions are a MUST.

Blame it on the DVD re-selling scams that puts films on 3+ years worth of waiting or a bit sooner for exclusivity channels - again.
