Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?
Banned for a world returning to the age of horse and buggy rather than entering into space as a spacefaring civilization.
banned for I know humans are what they are, age aside. I don't believe we're going to fall into anarchy. I don't believe things are worse now than they ever were. Humanity has had revolution, poverty, and war throughout its history and civilization has never broken down to the point of humans nearly being wiped out or government totally disappearing. Humanity falls just short of being able to do that to itself.
That all said, I do believe that people need to be willing to wipe the slate clean in hopes of retunring better than before. It's always going to be temporary, but it's better to hope for a year of peace than submit to a lifetime of misery.
Banned, for there has never been this many humans alive before - each with desires and feelings of entitlements - and although the end of humanity may not be now or even within the next few centuries, it is still a good idea to get off of this planet and finally began the colonization of space rather than waiting forever for propulsion systems which may never exist and planets that may never be found. Many stations and habitats can be built within this very solar system and I wish that they would finally be built rather than remain merely plans that never happen.
banned for not putting forth a hypothesis for colonizing all the asteroids
Banned because making habitats in the asteroids will almost certainly require mining elsewhere for volatiles and organics, and some of that could be just scooping atmosphere from low orbits, no digging required.
banned for I meant dig into the rock. You'll want to mine it and it's easier to seal in a habitat when the rock does the work for you.
Banned for somebody should build a giant spacegoing ship that can house millions, equipped with its own food and water replicators.
Banned for even if a massive spacecraft like that is ever built it is doubtful that energy-matter replicators would ever be built or practical. The cost of energy to produce one kg of mass, assuming 100% efficiency, is still tremendous, 8.988*10^16 Joules.

Banned for referring to a ship as a women even though such has been done for centuries.
Banned cause I like to play it old school. And it's not at all derogatory, so I don't know why anyone cares.
Banned because there will always be somebody to be offended at anything.
banned cause I know this, I just don't understand them. So that's usually where my middle finger gets involved and I move on.
Banned, because with some of the easily offended types they seem to get pleasure at the thought of causing anger in others and your flipping them off indicates that they've succeeded in being jackasses.
