When I had problems updateing i went to the community tag on impulse(i think)and went to sins chat. If you can catch them there is devs and company peeps on there. Actually got Yarlen to help me fix mine

There's something called sending an email to stardock or ironclad support...

 well spend 2 hours talkin with cykur goin over ideas and we got nothing, stardock support has yet to respond to my e mail other than an automated response so its definantly gg for me

i stopped trying after 4 months...   2 karma, 4 months...   i dont even want to grab my calculator to determine my age when i manage to get to annatar's level....

well ive had several computer nerds on base look at my computer, although they do have it runing roughly eleventy billion times faster they all say maybe my OS is corrupt but more likly the version of impulse on my computer is corrupt since it cant be removed from my computer or launched and im haveing absolutely no other problems with my computer. i am pretty well boned, because i dont feel like reformating my harddrive to take another swing at a video game ;l especially because i have 50GB of music and pix and no external to save them on

stardock support did get back to me so i replyed with the info they want so hopefully i will get something worthwhile outa them soon

I'm betting that you're going to have to go into the Registry and start deleting Ironclad/Stardock/Impulse/Sins/Entrenchment keys.  I hope the support e-mail helps.

50GB is nothing...all computers crash eventually.  You should get yourself a small backup external drive to keep a copy of your files.
