spent a good 3 hours trying to update sins through impulse. impulse wont uninstall and its crashed my computer 3 times ;l my computer wont let me use it anymore because its unstable ;l starcraft 2 should be coming out soon and BLIZZARD is a million times more user friendly so hopefully that will hopefully work better for a very uncomputer educated indivudual such as myself.

this is the only way for me to say bye to my fellow [DT]s and i hope to see you in SC2. till then i guess its back out to the bar scene... soase saved me so much money while i could keep it running :'( wish me luck fixing my computer

that would be cool, when ever i make a name for games i try to use Tyr and some amount of 2s if Tyr is taken so watch for me on SC2. i wiped impulse from my computer completely so hopefully in a few days i can reinstall it and the problem will be resolved, but i dont have much faith in stardock at this point. its a shame that such a fun game has to be stricken with so many technical issues non stop for over a year now

it took cykur getting on team speak with me for an hour to get me through that how because hes a computer genious... and to be honest this is WAY worse, with 1.1 impulse just wouldn't validate my soase. this time impulse is actually damaging my computer and i just dont wanna deal with it anymore

Dude just manualy delete your game files. The impulse will just install them no problem. It's how i did it.

Sorry, I should have given a bigger hint of sarcasm there.  I knew you agreed with me.  I was just trying to pressure Tyr into coming back, and making him feel like I'm nothing without him.

we definantly need cykurs big brain on this one... for your sake how ill give it another shot tomarrow, not to mention im broke till i get my tax return. sins is the only activity that requires no $ and im already starting to get bored. think im about to break down and bust out the credit card for some booze soon =(

I took a break.  1st, Carriers make games take longer, then 2nd: Entrenchment makes games take longer.  Not that the changes aren't kind of cool overall,  it just gets tiring sometimes.  It is also a pain in the ass and time consuming just to form games because everyone argues about teams and PuGs, except that I'm never quite sure about half of the participants relative skill level because I don't play as much as I used to back in the day.

I dug up some old old strategy games (MOO 2) and was messing around with those, then I tried out the 10 day Free Trial of DDO Stormreach.  It is kind of entertaining, actually, been playing that for a week. 

I'll probably be back at some point when Entrenchment is mature and people stop crying about how carriers are so overpowered their dog died of boredom.

Hey Tyr - how about some details beyond it crashed my computer 3 times

Did it make your comp reboot, did it wipe you HD etc...??? How can we help you without some more info. And you don't want How to feel lonely either. BTW - I assume he is Robin - needs someone to look up to and work off of :)
