I have finished my second Tesla Coil

Here is a short video I made of it

I am considering turning it into a railgun ....go figure

ALL while making a major mod, keeping a major clan allive, and writing a short sci-fi story.

Oh, yea, and 15 credits of college on my spare time, lol.

Impressive.  It's gotta a pretty sweet arc.

A railgun shoots bullets - as in, projectile weapons.

Your Tesla Coil is cool for creating sparks - but what does that have to do with projectile weapons? (perhaps using magnetic fields to accelerate those pellets? If so, how would you do it in the relatively short barrel of any gun that could be mounted in or on a ship to accelerate the bullet by any significant degree? What power source would you use?)

Beam weapons - like the Doomray - may be the most viable option. After all, a single lightning strike does more damage than a single bullet.

What are those 15 credits of college going for, by the way?

Funny, I was just having a discussion with somebody about a tesla coil.    We were thinking of trying to create a solid state tesla coil.  I do not believe I had a discussion about tesla coils before that since high-school where we built one.

Funny how it seems like when you hear about something, it seems like you start to hear about it all over the place at one time.

That video would have been much better with Hell March in the background.
