When chaning my image to 4 bit 16 1 keep losing my colors or at least getting somewhat color its all messed up,any way of stoping this from happening to my bootskins(yes i am a noob at this).please help any comment on this would gtreatly appreciated.
I'm experiencing similar issues with regard to Bootskins. All bootskins I've installed appear as though they are in 16 colour mode. All other imagery (wallpapers, desktopx themes, photos etc) on my computer appear in normal full colour. If my bootskin issue is something that can be resolved I would be pleased to hear about it.
that's what taking your pic down to 4 bit does....goes kinda dotty......and you lose colour....makes it more of a challenge to find/make a wall that will go to 4 bit well....you are best to stick to a minimal number of colours in your wall....but that's the fun of XP boots...bit of a challenge....
Vista ones are just the straight wall...
