Mini dump Entrenchment (fixed)

Mini dump Entrenchment (fixed)

Info I've been able to gather:

1.Doesn't seem to be a race specific

2.Occurs whether I play or let it sit.

3.Always happens at around 10 mins

4.Having updated drivers no change

5.Version of game is 1.1.2 prior to entrenchment update

6.If I rush to starbases it dumps the sec a starbase is built. Rather than at ten mins. (Ty Positiv)

For most, after some testing. I think if you lower just the building settings one notch you run ok. I put just the buildings to medium and i'm almost getting 1.12 performance. If you still get a dump lower them more.

I agree that this is substandard fix, but at least I can play.  |-)

I think Hoshiko meant to turn your settings down to medium for the meantime. Remeber this is just a Beta and we need to help Iron Clad find and fix all these bugs and minidumps.

So my q6600 OC'd to 3.4gig with 2 XFX 8800gt xXx Alpha dog editions sli'd with 4gig 1066 OCZ Reaper ram on an EVGA 680i running Vista 64.  Needs to turn down the graphics to play so I don't get this 10 minute mini dump? I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.  Cause I have no problem running Crysis or any other game.  I paid the $9.95 for Entrenchment and now come to understand its not finnished, but I sure wish it would have said that in the info when I purchased cause I would have waited. I love this game and appreciate Stardock for all their hard work, but I don't like paying for something that isn't finished.  So the only option is turn down the graphics?? I have the latest Drivers for everything. Not a happy camper stardock.

You really didn't know this was beta?

When do they start to charge for a beta? If I knew it was still in Beta I would have waited.  Where does it say its a beta when they are advertising it? I didn't see anything about that until after I bought it, loaded it up and went to play my first game, then I see a blurp in the bottom saying its not completed and more will be added later.  I turned my ships graphics down to high and that seemed to help but I still ended up with a mini dump about 1hr in.  Just alittle peaved about paying for an unfinished and mostly untested program.  I know its only $10 but its still my $10.

I can play games up to 3 hours, I've done this on two seperate computers. One is a laptop, 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo, with a quadra graphics card, and 3 gb of ram, vista ultimate sp1, and i get about 3.5 hours into the game, saving periodically, but also i have usually quit to do something else for th time being then going back. I have yet to play a singe game for more than 3 hours, partly because of mines...  The other computer is a quad i7 2.67 GHz, 4 GB ram, and an HD Radeon 4870, vista business 64bit, and Again at 3.5 hours ish, i get the saved minidum thing. These were on huge and large maps with 6 and 5 Ai's respectively. RAM is not the problem, since I also have 1.5 gb free on my tower when I am playing. I thought the problem was me saving and quitting the game, and returning to it, but i'm not so sure about that now. Oh, and I sometimes get it when I save and the try and return to the menu.
