Screenshots of Galactic Civilizations II: v2

I'm setting up a game today to play on this day after Thanksgiving. Here are screenshots from the game (I'll be updating this over the course of the day):

image
Large galaxy with no tech brokering (a tech I trade to someone else can't be traded by that civilization to someone else).

I want to have few stars but those stars should have lots of good planets.

I set up a custom player.

Gave my custom player their own techs, abilities, look, ship style, etc.

image

Randomized opponents.

image

Home planet.

Starting location.

I don't like the Korath anymore.. ;)

When you see a bunch of these coming, that's bad.

Is there *really* more to come? ;)

Yea.  Been a bit under the weather so I had to cut my play short.

Ugh! Large->Scattered->Nine opponents... Damn, I hate that setting combination, everything is all jumbled up and everyone's next to every one and it's all a tight (un)fit...

Eagerly awaiting to see how this one progresses...

Speaking of screenshots, is there a good way you all recommend taking screenshots while running Galciv in non-windowed mode?

Why?

I used to have issues with running it fullscreen, so now I just run it windowed @ desktop res.  And I haven't noticed a slowdown-in fact, it actually seems faster.  Not to mention I can alt tab out without crashing.

Hey Frogboy, isn't DL bradley the character in that manuscript you wrote that gave the backstory for Galciv?

I dont know how you would do it, but i simply press "print" on my Keyboard when in game, alt-tab to Windows, open a program like paint and then press ctrl-v (or select "paste" in the menu).

Ctrl + PrintScreen key = a screenshot in your user's folder (i.e. C:/blablabla/my documents/my games/CG2... on XP)

If you are looking for a decent screen-capture program i would suggest reading the review over at Tech Support The site is definitely worth a look as the review the best of the free programs out there on the web in a non-biased way (they actually try them out first :) )

Most of the program allow you to take a screen capture which will then automatically save to a folder of your choice without having to alt-tab out.

When will the EU be able to download an update for Endless Universe? Will it always be like this regarding updates?

I was wondering what planetary map/improvements mod Frogboy is using... I've tried to look for something to change the look of improvements, but I haven't found anything so far.

The screens are stock TA.

I really hate to bump this, but where do i get whatever FrogBoy got that has Tech 'Brokering'? i only have Thech trading and my surrenders check box is not sperated by a line from the others.

.....did i somehow cause this?

Either you've modded your screens or you're not playing TA.

Ultimate Edition.

is that only if you get DL, DA and TA separate?

Twilight of the Arnor is included in the Ultimate Edition.  So you should be able to check or uncheck the Tech Brokering option, if you're playing from the Twilight of the Arnor executable.
