How do I create bootskins and logons?

I really would like to know how to create bootskins and logons for WinXP. Can anyone lead me through the process of how to make these? Is there any way I can add animation to either of these jobs? If so, would I need special software to do this? Any and all help would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you.

that doesnt really help anyone make a logon. the easiest way is to just make a new logon and fiddle around with it. if you want to wait a week or two ill post a tutorial
