I just preordered as well, one question though why did I get charged for it since there currently is no BETA out yet?

You shouldn't.

Are you sure it was really charged and not just testcharged (is that a word?), ie. the bank just tested if that creditcard is still valid?

Im pretty new to Impulse however When I heard of a master of Magic like game from stardock I said "Hooba Jooba well Ill be damned..." Ok, so not really, but I was 100% for a pre-order. and after hearing about my friends time with the demigod beta I want to be a part of the next stardock game. ^^ 

PS.. even with as little information that is known about the game i was still in for a preorder this game is important to me.

I preordered it with the retail box option so i could cuddle the physical copy at night while dreaming of great plans of conquest...

I trust Stardock will provide us with what they are talking about in the journals and interviews. And with it, that will be far better that my dear MoM (although if we talk about hours "invested" in them, Civ IV and, even more, Gal Civ II are very close to it).

PS I want to (pre-)alpha test the game.

After some painful efforts to subvert some lame IP checking security measures for credit card purchases via Impulse I have finally been able to a few titles from my favorite developer. Consequently preorder placed!

I'm in and definitely in it for the long haul. Elemental is the next best hope, since recent strategy games have been a big disappointment.
