I'm calling you out

I'm calling you out

aka Who would you like to play online sometime

Some of us have been playing Sins for quite a while now. And there may be a bunch of people you have played with that are in your friends list.

But is there anyone who you know of that you have never played a game with/against that you would like to??? If so - let them (or at least other people) know (this is not for clan matches, especially from the DT bashers - just people you would like to play with/against for the fun of it).

One of the ones I want to try is The Monk - does his Sins stacks up against his tech support  And no ping flooding to get me to drop out...

So to The Monk - I am calling you out!!!

I've come down with a sudden case of Visiting Relatives. :D

I'd love to at least watch, but I don't know if I'll get the chance.

Obviously you should get rid of them. Relatives, that is.

Hey Monk - what version are you on - I'm 1.05

I was on the BETA (network testing etc...), just went back to 1.05 yesterday.

I'm equally terrible at either, but since the last games I played were in the BETA I'd probably prefer the BETA (haven't played a 1.05 game since the first 1.1 BETA was released)

However, if everyone would rather play in 1.05 I'm ok with that as well......

Let's find out who wants to play and when.

I have both versions archived (v1.05 and v1.096).  I am currently loading v1.05 back up since I want to play a game and there are only 7 other people in Beta right now (and all in game as far as I can tell).

How do you play onine matches? I know that this is not a help page but I can't find a post that deals with this question. At the very least direct me to a post that  adreses this problem.

Samurye,

How means to say "click the IronClad Online" button and logon.  ;)

Once logged in, you click ADD PLAYER (to add the oline persona you wish to use) and when you use that player name (double-click) on it, you'll be in the MAIN LOBBY.

Thank you for the help, I hope I see you online. As long as you are playing against someone else.

Come on the beta, I promise it won't minidump...much.  I should be available to play Friday night and Saturday.  Tonight is a little busy for me.

oh my god. the new beta patch still dumps???

I have only seen a dump when I didn't restart the game after playing another game.  I think perhaps there is something in the memory that isn't being cleared.  Anyway, I have never had a dump when I start a game after opening the client.

so you restart the sins after every game you play to avoid dumps?

Right.  Works every time.  The times I don't, I dump.  I think it might be because of the Alloy net code.  A good test would be to see if this happens when Alloy net code is disabled.

so the biggest problem with the game were the minidumps. now we gotta beta test two for the upgrade we are waiting over half a year for, and the f...... game still dumps? thats a joke. you rememeber why everyone was demanding a patch stardock? it was because of the fucking dumps not because some of the imbalances

stardock. what the hell are you working on? just admit it, you made a poor code and now you got no idea why the game crashes all the time.

thats why i like EA. ok sometimes the support is not the best, but at least the got capable people there who know what they doing. stardock not so much. what does it help if they are friendly and are community near, when they are incapable of fixing a serious bug in their own game.

lost my last respect for stardock.

ten bucks that this was stardocks last game.

Conte,

I think they fixed the original reason why the minidumps are happening.  I think the Alloy netcode threw another variable into the mix.  Remember, a minidump is just the game telling you something went wrong.  Therefore, these dumps I have had could be completely different from the ones everyone was having.  It could even be specific to my computer.  I would give it a chance.

Conte--the other big reason people wanted a patch is because most people couldn't host games, which I suspect, took a big toll on the game's online player counts.

Conte - you don't know what you are talking about
