How do I change Welcome screen

I am the only user on my computer and use the welcome screen instead of the logon screen.  I have been researching forums for days to learn to use Logon Studio but haven't found information I could understand and do.  Been to Wiki.....doesn't give me what I need.  So my question is....can I use a bitmap to replace the WindowsXP welcome screen without having to go into the registry (which is the only step by step I could find).  Or can you remove the sign in panel completely from Logon Studio?

Thanks for any help.

The welcome screen is referred to as the boot screen.  You need BootSkin for that.  Check the Wiki again for BootSkin.  Logon Studio is for the Logon screen.

Also, read up on BootSkin.  It doesn't work with all computers.  It might require you to boot up into Safe mode to remove it should it prove to be incompatible with your computer.

the Welcome Screen is not the same as the Boot Screen is it?

First is the bootscreen then the welcome screen, like Welcome to Windows Xp

If the welcome screen is referred to as the boot screen what is the actual welcome screen refered as? Login?

Could I get that step by step link for chaning it in the registry
