Help Identifying Window Name

I'm trying to edit a certain color of this skin I have. I have loaded it up and I've gone to "change system colors". The problem is, I'm not exactly sure what it's named. What I want to edit is in the taskbar, when you have windows/programs open and they have their little tabs in it. Whichever window/program I'm currently using has one color, and all the inactive ones are another color. The inactive color is what I want to change. I've gone through every name that seems to be it, but none of them have resulted in a color change to the tabs. Can anyone tell me what the name of it is? Thank you.

The red one is the window I'm currently looking at. The gray one is an inactive/minimized window. That's what I want to change.

Those are images...not controlled by the classic colors (that I know of). Those are the taskbar buttons.

Oddly enough, the SKS tutorial doesn't seem to actually cover the taskbar buttons that I can see.

Yes, I had said it was for the taskbar. So there is no way to edit that color? There a few options that mention the taskbar, but none of them change that color.

Which color are you referring too exactly? The text color? Like I said, the taskbar button is an image (with 5 states I think), it cannot be controlled with the system colors.

Like I said, the taskbar button is an image

Yep, you will need SkinStudio and a graphics app as you will need to edit the image for the taskbar buttons.

I went to taskbar buttons, but all it shows is highlight, vertical, and horizontal. Hilight is for when it flashes, and the vertical and horizontal are white. The image I want to edit is a dark gray, so I don't see how it can be it.

What version os SkinStudio, skin name and a link if you have one. The buttons are a 6 frame/state image.

SkinStudio is version 4.6.0 and the skin name is called W4. I found it here...  https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=6618&libid=1

I tried to edit the vertical/horizontal anyway just to see what would happen, and sure enough the button stayed gray.

First, must ask, have you reapplied the skin after making the changes.

Second, the buttons on that skin are translucent white and red, the white buttons look grey due to white on the black taskbar.

Yes, I did apply the skin. It went through its usual phase when applying the skin, and nothing changed. The reason why I want to change it is because the gray is just too bright for the rest of the skin, and I want it to be closer to black. However, like I said, chaning it there made no actual change once applied.

Did you edit the image or did you maybe just try changing the text colors, the buttons are an image and must be edited in Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or any graphics app that supports png images to change the color of them.
