New hero class

hi guys, ive been playing games my whole life, all 15 years wasted on games :D.
i live in South Africa (O.o), and with the experience ive got with games, i want to make a suggestion.
You have generals, which control(mostly) the armies. Assassins deal more with pumping out damage.
A class i would love would be called mystic.this class would be dedicated to supporting the troops.

Like here:
He can erect towers that can cast beneficial spells. Each tower can be equipped with like 2 or 3 spells. on auto cast.
if he decides to go to the battle, he can harass the enemy troops by casting debilitating spells on them.

the other mystic can like, erect a building that periodically raises a zombie or skeleton from a corpse.

What do you think?

How could a support hero become a demigod? He performs well with other hero's but he will be weaker than others. I don't think there is a logical place for a support hero. (ok when does logic define a game  ;) )

why...?

Why not have an Assassin or General that supports the troops? Why does it need to be called a "Mystic"?

I don't think this is a good idea.

I always thought of the Generals as semi-support demigods, and all the spells you described could as well be used by a General.

ya I consider generals basically support demigods aswell. that can still hold their own. they just use armys instead of direct dmg spells/abilitys

I just hope they blurr the lines between assasins and generals like they said, makes a more balanced and interssting game (also i gives mor options how to design a demigod)

well... to answer a few questions... sorry if this is a bad idea. forgive me, im 15.
and another thing, the support hero wouldnt have to go and engage the opposing side.
couldnt he gain EXP and levels via SUPPORTING the troops and other demigods?

Generals can do that. They can sit back and get their minions to attack the enemy or they can wade in themselves. Plus, your idea of having the support class hero help other demigods hinges on it being a 2v2 or more. In a 1v1, they would have very limited use..

I agree. I hope and suspect that there will be Generals and Assassins that are close to the middle between them along with ones that are at the very far end.
Kind of like how you have very Liberal Democrats, very Conservative Republicans, and you have moderates that are right in the middle and ones leaning left or right..
