More pre-order questions!

Hey guys im new but i have read all i can about the game and i cant wait. I have some questions about pre-orders

1: Can i pre-order this game from a retail agent like E&B games and will i get a beta code or something?

2: There is 2 pre-order options 1 is cheaper and it comes from the site 2 when i pre-order this the game is sent to me through the mail and i get the boxed copy right?

3: which one do you guys think is best? the boxed version or the non-boxed that you just get to download?

Thanks a lot for the info guys :)

Only if you order through Stardock, you'll get into the beta.
Nothing else works.
I'd recommend the digital download, but if you like a box and don't feel sorry for your money then shoot for that.

If i choose the digital download, can i download the game over and over again from the website if i ever uninstalled it?

there is no limit on how often you download it but they have stated they get suspicious if you download it 20 times a week from different IPs :P

hah no nothing retarded like that! When this game becomes old and it sits on the "shelf" for awhile i will want to play it again and hopefully i can still download it and install it again thats all im worried about.

Oh Mighty,

I've been using Stardock Central since early 2006 and it has been a real joy. Not only to purchace games from but also a reliable source to get patches from. As a bonus you get your game when it goes gold and now I can add beta testing possibilities. I can only see it as a bonus to shop from Stardock central.

Best regards

I recommend getting Impulse if i were you Mighty, it means that you can get the client as soon as it comes out. Also, when you put your serial number (you will be given it when the actual game is released) into impulse, it registers the copy and means re-downloading is a breeze. :)

Let me put it to ya this way about being able to download years later.

They've released GalCiv II and its two expansions, and I can still download a copy of GalCiv using SDC or Impulse -- and I bought *that* from a game store, not direct.

Yeah, trust me, you'll be able to play in years to come!

I'd personally choose the boxed version. I'd rather not depend on Stardock Central staying up to reinstall it 10 years from now. And I guess I'm kind of old-fashioned, in that I like having the physical box, disc and manual in my hand. I love that newly opened video game smell!

i totally agree with you Aarojw thats why i was hesitant to pre-order the digital game and rely on Impulse to suply the game play
