Then it's not drivers. List all your security apps and versions. Run 'dxdiag' (it's in your system32 folder and make sure it shows Directx 10 and no problems are listed at bottom of panel.

Can anyone help me out i'm going to go nutts.... :(  :(  :(

And where can i download WB6 (NOT BETA)......
In Impulse, click on the menu orb and uncheck "show prerelease versions."
at the top of the page you'll see where it says my account... click on that, and then there is a tab that says registrations. That gives you the links to all of your files, and from there you don't have to use impulse to download them...

Perhaps that's how they are supposed to look...;)

Sounds like a conflict with security apps, try setting AVG 8 to 'exclude wbconfig.exe and wbload.exe. You might also want to disable or turn off the tuneup utilites 2008.

Tuneup Utilities 2008 includes a UI service or 2. I'm not sure how you would disable a service in Vista but, that could be a source of problems.

I have no issues with AVG . . install that back and see what you get.  Then look for an alternative to the functions of TU2k8 (or options to make it play nice)

I've been a regular user of Tuneup Utilities 2006. I've also tried the Tuneup Utilities 2008 30 day free trial. I run XP SP3 and disable the UI features of Tuneup Utilities with msconfig and by running services.msc. It starts a service called Tuneup Design Expansion which is done with this line in the bootup C:WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs.

I don't know how Tuneup Utilities is installing in Vista or if Vista has a services.msc but, I'm thinking the culprit is Tuneup Utilities 2008 and some type of modification it's making to your Windows UI.

If you can disable that function in TU2008 then you should still be able to use it's other features. I have TU2006 running that way on XP SP3.

First of all thanks guys for all the help  :CONGRAT:

For logonvista try these
1. make sure wbocx.ocx is registered
open an administrative command prompt by typing "cmd" into the start menu search box and right-clicking on "CMD Shell", then clicking Run as administrator. Then, run this command:

regsvr32 wbocx.ocx

2.Delete the Folder "Skins" from the logonvista folder located in Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDesktop for me
It will be recreated but without the files that stop logonvista workin

Ok it's AVG8 it started messing up again so i uninstalled it AND  :CONGRAT: working as good as ever :CONGRAT:

Now i've just installed Tuneup Utilities 2008 and all's great and going fast.... so it must have been AVG8........ :(

AVG 7.5 was great, but version 8.0 didn't want to play nice on my system either. While AVG 8.0 is a perfectly fine program,if it gives you trouble I highly recommend Avast. It is far faster, has more features and a smaller footprint than AVG.It's worth checking out.At least you are narrowing it down.Good Luck.

Sounds good. Just be careful of it's UI appearance settings. I have run into conflicts in the past with this since it goes about things differently then Object Desktop. That's why I disabled that feature on my machine.

All the other features of TU2006 still work on my machine without this feature being enabled and, since I use Object Desktop, it wasn't needed. My OS also has 1 less process and 1 less service running that way which saves on system memory usage as well.

I hope you figure out what's what with your system. Good luck.
