I would ask them to send you version 6.0, as i,and many more, have had a lot of trouble trying to get version 6.1 to work...

I suggest updating your video drivers. Yours look to be at least 6 months old.

do you have nview turned on? :NOTSURE:

Where would that be...

Nview is in the properties dialog where you change your wallpapers and stuff it has it's own tab... another thing you can try is to install a newer version of windowblinds, you have the last public version, but there is a beta on Object Destkop now... maybe that version has a fix for your problem. you can also try tweaking the Windowblinds settings, maybe try disabling per pixel window borders and things like that... change the settings to the very basics see if that fixes it. If not Stardock support usually has an answer.... everything I've ever asked they knew what was going on...

to disable per pixel borders the box is on the same page where you got the file information from....

Hope so mate..... :NOTSURE:

I just don't understand why one min all is ok then it's all over the place...... (:(

did you try to disable the per pixel borders? run it without that and see what happens... you could try uninstalling also using impulse ... then download it directly from the download link in the email stardock sent you, or there is a place here on wincustomize with all of purchases and where to download them, you don't have to use Impulse to do it, and I would recommend not using it for now...

so try these two things

1.) disable per pixel borders (might not do anything, but a simple thing to try)
2.) Uninstall using Impulse, reinstall directly without Impulse...

I'm here for you if those don't work....

You can go to nvidia.com to get the latest drivers......you are never limited to going through a PC maufacturer for you updates for most hardware.....

If you are worried it will void you warrenty...then set a system restore point before upgrading the drivers....

Upgrading drivers and messing with settings in my AVG 8.0 free antivirus software got WB 6.1 working flawlessly for me.

Robby, also, not sure if yr nvidia graphics cd came with utilites?....mine did,and installing them fugs EVERYTHING up, so if you have them installed ,uninstall them....... hope this helps, i had the same problem with my nvidia, and that fixed all my hassels... just a thought...

So here are a few things we would like you to try.

Here is a post about laptop drivers from a while ago: https://forums.wincustomize.com/172500

Lots of good updates through that site.

Press and hold the Windows key, press R and type the following into the Run dialog:
dxdiag

Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output file in a email to [email protected] with a link to this forum post. Please also include a screen shot of the dual skinned themes.

Is it just with certain themes and not others that this occurs? What happens if you empty out the themes folders and just use the basics?

Please also keep in the mind that the software is still in beta. If this issue persists you might need to revert back to the last release.

I went to both Sony's and Nvidia's web sites and there are updated drivers for your video card and in case you missed this, this is sony's site for your notebook . Hope some of this helps. :CONGRAT:WWW LinkWWW Link

Seabass' post mentions laptopvideo2go. In case it matters, I used that site for years to get updated drivers for my laptop (HP zv5000 with a Nvidia GF4200Go chip in it), and never had any problem with them. Of course, updating drivers isn't something to take too casually, so make sure you take appropriate precautions. Just wanted to add an endorsement for the tip. Cheers and good luck!

did you try the things I said, or no? I'm concerned it may not be a driver issue....

I have all of the Nvidia stuff from the CD installed on my machine without any issues... wanted to note that as well... but it's worth shutting it all down to see...
