Sounds like someone was up very late playing SoaSE! ;-)

Probably a mix of a few things:
-Sugar crash from the nasty coke product already setting in if it was about...2 hours ago.
-Late night of game playing, reducing amount of sleep
-Not good sleep via drinking alcohol or overall discomfort
-Brain not really started up yet, still focused on playing SoaSE and having no desire to be 'working'.

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this last week: I would say 75% of the people I know are having trouble sleeping and/or are tired all day. It's kind'a freaky that so many seem to be having this problem recently, as I don't remember this ever being a problem for anybody I know untill the last 10 years or so.

PP, I've read a number of articles and studies that indicate our society on the whole is lacking in the proper amount of sleep. People are walking zombies for the most part.

Well, I'd consider seeing a doctor, but you might want to consider the following:

*Cut back on the Coke product and coffee.

*Avoid strenuous exersise and scary/exiting movies/T.V. shows before bed.

*Have a light snack before bed. (Cookies and milk are a good bet.)

*Make your sleeping area as quiet, dark, and inviting as you can. (you may also want to try making it cool, I've read that you have a harder time going to sleep if it's too warm in the room.)

*Taking a sleep aid. (Even if it's over-the-counter or natural, ALWAYS talk to a doctor before taking one.)

*Take cooler baths/showers in the evening.

Hope those help.

Good advice! Also...

Drinking a glass ( or two, or three ) within 15 minutes of waking up helps you stay awake. How? Lets say you were working all day, and it was busy and you didnt have time to drink. You would be pretty thirsty and way parched after 5-8 hours. Your brain works hardcore when your sleeping, so you need plenty of water when you wake up.

Doing some stretches and a quick excersize before your morning shower! If you cant, walk up and down your stairs ( if you have any ) three times. In combination with drinking water, it'll get your blood moving.

As said before, Avoid caffeine, As much as it is a stimulant, it is also a muscle relaxant! ( Ergo, people "crash after drinking energy drinks" )

Eat something healthy, like cereal, an apple but avoid bananas. bananas themselves are not really good, because they make you feel full for a short while ( like when your on the go, you'll think you'll be good till lunch ). When you digest it, it expands, So you have a bloated feeling of eatting alot. Don't beleive me? Eat 5 bananas in a row, tell us how you feel within 30 minutes :D! Orange juice and Oranges help :)

Okay, so your at work, you've done these things and now your thinking "okay, I'm bored, and I'm really sleepy" Well...

For one, do some extra work, or hard work! Keep yourself busy and distracted from doing nothing. The more you do, the more awake you'll likely to be! The same goes for when your about to sleep! When your scared, just finished hardwork, or just saw an exciting movie, you'll less likely to fall into REM sleep. Thats why doctors recommend a DARK ( implying the T.V is off ), Quite ( No music, except very calming music, and gentle music, at very quite levels)

When your in your bed, after a long days work, your tired, and so is your mind. What do you do? You lie in your bed, doing nothing and eventually, you "fall asleep" Well, In my opinion, you fall asleep because your bored, Ergo, nothing to do, and to save energy, your mind shuts off and you sleep.

if these don't help you, Consult a doctor, he'll give you a better idea of what to do.

Well it has been aknown fact that most people pact 31 hours of work into a 24 hour work setting so, you could be overworking yourself

I would take a pregnancy test...

Even if you're a guy, you never know.

I think thats why you are so tired, prove me wrong!
