Is this a MyColors theme when installed or a separate app than MC/WB? Vista had issues with AlienGUIse. :NOTSURE: I think I'll stick with what I have for skinning my PC.The Invader and ALX Vortex media player skins for WMP11 are awesome though, and work well.

When I installed it on XP it just put the suite files in the theme folder for ThemeManager but I still had to dig into it and add each one manually to get them to show up.

Thanks for the 'heads up' Darken :)

Truly wonderful packages. Love Xenomorph.

Slightly ironic to see TSF and Stardock Design names/logo's beside each other on the page  ;)

"Manual installation" under Vista >

Requirements:
- ObjectDesktop Standard/Ultimate (Installed via Impulse/SDC)
- MyColors (Installed via Impulse or Free version)
- WinRAR (or 7-Zip)

1. Right click on AlienGUIse_Vista.exe and 'Open with WinRAR'
2. Extract Data/OFFLINE folder
3. Find this file: Alienware Invader.mycolors
4. Drop this file here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\ThemeManager

Bonus (Vista):
1. Right click on Alienware Invader.mycolors and 'Open with...' > WinRAR
2. 'Extract to' with WinRAR
3. Copy this folder (IconPackager): Alienware Invader (\Alienware Invader\IconPackager) to here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\IconPackager
4. Copy this folder (WindowBlinds): Alienware Invader (\Alienware Invader\WindowBlinds) to here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds
5. Open WindowBlinds > 'Skin options' > 'Rebuild list'

Have fun! ;)

I love the icons, only thing thats missing from them are a Desktop Folder/Desktop icon & mp3 file icons (Vista). That aside I absolutely love the icons for this theme.

I may give it a shot, thanks Darken. Can anyone tell me if I'll need to delete my Invader WMP skin first or will it be ok to overwrite it ?
No edit again. X-( Never mind,I read where it said XP only for MP skin. However,Invader on TSF's site works quite well(and is awesome) with WMP11 and Vista,if you want to fill out the suite.

I remember when it first was out: that installation it broke all my system  :(

So from now on, when making free iconpackages, do (12) or less "File Icons" and make them all the same.
OK. Got it. Thanks.....This will speed things up in the the future.

I think he was talking about AlienGUIse. My niece had to do a complete recovery to get it out of her Vista laptop. It was a real train wreck. She made no restore points or back-ups so she lost everything....kids! ;p

12 best icons are better than 100 second grade icons.
invader icons are best to date. love it.

Yeah but many file icons are left with the default which doesnt even match at all. They could at least have added mp3 file formats. :(

Well, downloaded & extracted to use with WB, but can only apply the "default" Vista theme from it.

Can't apply the Performance one & can't even view any of the files. They all look like "static" when trying to check them out with an image viewer.

You need Mycolors or the theme manager installed because the WB is encrypted. ;)

I've got that installed as well, but still can't view the images & also can't apply anything other than the Vista default skin for some reason.

Since I can't seem to edit my post:

The reason I want to use the substyles or access the skin properties is because I use double height taskbars & most themes don't account for that. This one is no exception. The system tray is taking up too much real estate because it's only putting the icons into two rows instead of three...

Guys,i have installed this one on XP,but although it is in the WB 6 list of skins,it doesnt want to apply it self...
MyColors is installed but it doesnt want to apply the theme either...

How can i extract these fantastic icons from this???I cant seem to apply them in Icon Packager...

Is there a catch to make it work on XP???
