Is that SoSE in action? I'm posting from GC2-land and am not entirely sure I like the cross-forum stuff that's happening lately. But...

I definitely like seeing someone use a track from Jeff Wayne's musical War of the Worlds album, and if I ever play the Terrans again, I'll probably name my Huge hull series Thunderchild.

Thunder Child just came up in my work-time jukebox rotation. I must pitch the Jeff Wayne album to folks who might enjoy a bit of 70s Brit pop and/or have interest in the "rock opera" thing.

It's even interesting just as another item on the list of reasons why people will remember H.G. Wells for a long time. How many SF authors can you name whose work has inspired a lengthy musical composition (other than a film score)?
