I think it is a glitch. A few others have had the same or similar issues.

About once a week, I get ads when logged in.

Wulfie...you probably need to chuck your cookies......[always wanted to use that phrase]....cos you show up as a subbie...;)

I get ads alot, I figured that was a glitch. Glad the rating thing is a glitch, maybe they'll fix the way it's set up while they're fixing the glitch.(you remember my post about the dropdown star rating menu?... slide up would be better, or move the dl button...)
I also noticed the edit button has been lost again... Wulfn1 waits patiently to rate Kitty's new xp blind..

I keep hurling the cookies, and it keeps having this issue.
I dunno I guess it'll eventually right itself. (wulfn1 hurls her cookies once again....)

I havent been able to vote in over a month, nothing to do with cookies....at least here  :NOTSURE: 

Most of the time I can't rate either. Every so often I can and it seems to change with the gallery I'm in.

As far as Ads go, I find if I log out...then log back in they go away. Seems to work every time.

Yes, it happens lot here too as of last month even with full net cache clearance.
When it happens all browsers behave same so glitch not in users' computers necessarily.

Happened to me last month and I think I had to clear the temp files, cookies and the history, while loggod off WC.

Also my address keeps getting changed and not by me it alternates between IR and IS but never the correct IE. I don't want to be Iranian nor Icelandic just Irish.
I often reset it to correct IE but next day it will be back wrong.Tried emailing support but said issue fixed but it is not.

Just checked your account, and it is set to .ie

Steps to make sure all the cookies and temp files are cleared.

1. Log off of WinCustomize
2. Close all browser windows
3. Open a new browser (do not go to WinCustomize or login)
4. Clear your cookies & temporary internet files
5. Close all browser windows
6. Open browser
7. Go to WinCustomize
8. Login.

1(a). Log off Wincustomize
1(b). Some of us may need to reassign our homepage first

edit: It doesn't solve this particular problem either......I just followed the process and upon logging back in I clicked on RobJK's skin from the "Featured" part of the WC home page and it took me to the skin page where I was told I needed to be an apprentice to rate.......

I was having this problem and all I did to fix it was run CCleaner.

On the ads, I do nothing ... they go away after browsing through a few pages. No logging off, no clearing cookies, none of that .. they just go away.

Don't think any of these glitches have anything to do with cookies, temp files etc. ... just WC weirdness   

Of course, going through all those motions can have the effect of making you feel as if you are doing something which may be useful to some people.

Ccleaner does all that, I use it daily.. doesn't fix the not being able to vote problem.

As a matter of fact on a clean Vista install, first time visit to WC, using IE7... I couldn't vote, has to be something else.  :NOTSURE: 

Not being able to vote isn't going to kill me but it sure is irritating some other folks I know. It's not cookie related.

It comes and goes for me. Sometimes I can rate, sometimes not :NOTSURE:

If I try to buy anything at present I am set to Island, Iceland.
I reset it back to Ireland on My Account page but within a day it always reverts to IR or IS.

Yes, Cool Bundoran is Co Donegal but nicest in the summer like most of here.
Not been to Scandinavia yet, well just Iceland which I loved even the Black Death.

I know; I immediately change it back to Ireland, I save it as Ireland and it reverts to Iran or Iceland within a day often within seconds - what you see is after an immediate save, that is why you see "updating" on the pix and my highlighting on Iceland after saved it as Ireland seconds before. I save it so many times as Ireland but to no avail I know how to fill in forms but if I want to buy stuff on MC here it has to be within such a small time frame when it says Ireland or the card will be rejected for incorrect address. I know how to fill forms and in which country I live except for odd time I get poured off plane at Tulla.
