Space Ponies should actually hurt your economy, because they really only eat and poop everywhere.  Beware what you ask for out of an achievement...

I don't know what the big deal is about with these Space Ponies, to be honest. They don't actually do anything.

They are found the same way as any other planetary bonus, through exploration. Their little icon is a pink or white pony (don't know which, I'm colour blind) that has the classic 'fishbowl' helmet on.

The description just says: Space Ponies!!

Found them before I even knew there were achievements. Meh.

Just keep looking guys. It's random.

I know its an old thread.  I found the space ponies on accident. I was busy trying to fight off 2 flanks and expand on a 3rd and hit the explore button rather then the planet health button.

I never knew it was THAT hard to find Space Ponies... I found them in my 5th game, on an asteroid, 1 phase jump away from my home planet, SoaSE: v. 1.07 I think it was...

found on the 6th game as advent on an ice planet called Mundea or something, look back theres another post very similar.

i love space ponies threads.  they make me smile.

I thought that you got the space ponies award when you scuttled a planet... but I guess that it's when you find it as a bonus.

I found it on one of the large maps, the purple one it starts with A..... it was on a ice planet in the middle of the map two jumps from a star.

i really think someone should come and put up a sticky about Space Ponies, as well as a myriad of other things, Frogboy's Diplomacy Wishlist is one, but there are heaps of other topics that would be suitable to be made into stickies.

On another note I am on my first game...  admitedly the 27th hour of my first game... 108 planets, six hard A.I plus factor in time for eating sleeping and working and ive probably played for nine hours of that, just left it running, and i found ponies of spacialness earlier today. I was none the wiser of what the hell it was till I came across this thread. I still am none the wiser...

But...I want an MMO.
