Two PCs Behind Router...

Anyone Use Hamachi?

Does anyone know if there is an issue with playing Sins multiplayer online with TWO PCs running separate copies of the game behind a router on a shared connection?  I'm wondering if this is causing SOME of my game crashes (though it still happens when only one PC is logged in and the router is bypassed).

Secondly, anyone tried using a VPN client like Hamachi to play this with a few others in multiplayer?  Any issues with that?

Thanks.

Yes. You both need to choose different ports. e.g 6112 for one and 6113 for the other (change in your user.setting file). You then have to make sure the router routes 6112 to computer 1 IP and then 6113 to computer 2 IP. (If it helps its the exact same process for warcraft 3 including the port numbers).

Thanks for the help...

Are they UDP or TCP ports? Do I just manually edit the user.setting file? Is this discussed in another thread?

All of the answers to your questions are in forum "stickies" and the "Technical FAQ".

Once again......here is a link to my guide for the ports etc.  :p

just replace the port numbers for the forwarding to the second machine with whatever you've set in the user.setting file.

"TWO PCs Behind a Router" sounds like a great name for a cyber thriller movie.
