Multiplayer Connectivity..

Yes another one of those cannot connect thread...number 1zillion...

Anyways, lets keep this short and simple. I am also one of those many of other ppl created a thread regarding this issue. I CAN connect to other ppl's games. But CANT connect to the games that my friend made. So what explaination is this? Before you make a post, keep in mind that I HAVE ALREADY opened ports 6112. I play other games that requires that port, it worked fine. No problem. But this is the first game that didnt work. Could this be the 1.03 patch problem? Or there is an explaination to it. I feel frustrated... :( Halp!

Please download, read and follow all my instructions in the following guide. Then, assuming you're not at a university campus (or anywhere else where you can't control your network settings) you/your friend won't have anymore hosting issues. :)

Why you didn't check the "stickies" for help regarding this is beyond me.....?

Oh, and there is a substantial difference between simply "opening" ports for inbound traffic and actually "forwarding" all inbound traffic on that port, to a specific IP (which is what SINS requires). :)

thanks,

actually i read all your guide, still no help to it

Then you're missing something. My guide is meant to be followed step-by-step. Many people who at first told me they had read my guide and it wasn't any help found out that by skipping a page or two they had sunk their own boat! :)

In fact, just last night one fellow told me that "...nowhere in your guide does it mention port-forwarding..."

When I pointed out that on page four the words "port-forwarding" are bolded and underlined...... well you get the idea!

If you post back with your network map and more information I can help by pointing you in the right direction.
