Can't connect to ICO

Bought this game to play online, pop it in, install, and I find that I can't connect to the IronClad Online thing. I tried disabling my firewall, ending the processes associated with it even, and that didn't work. I am trying to connect from a dorm, but I am fairly certain that the ports are not blocked, as I play many games online, like Starcraft, Supreme Commander, Guild Wars, WoW, and a whole host of first person shooters. Help would be appreciated.

You need to patch to game-version 1.03 (came out today)

An aside for hosting only:
Ports simply being "open" won't help (unlike UDP) with TCP peer-to-peer connections you need to be able to FORWARD all traffic incoming on two ports 6000 and 6112 to only your computer system. Obviously that isn't possible, and that is why most people at a university/dorm will not be able to HOST.

If your dorm/university blocks peer-to-peer to prevent file sharing...you can't play online.

Games like Star Craft, Supreme Commander, Guild Wars, WoW are not peer to peer. It uses the Game developer's server as the host.
Ironclad/stardock is a small company...and since they're not getting monthly fees like in WoW, Guild Wars...so they can't afford to maintain a gaming server.

You'll will need internet access outside your university network.

If that isn't your problem e-mail stardock support.
Also, check-out post under multiplayer and technical.

Oh, I hadn't realized it was strictly p2p. That would explain it. The p2p here isn't blocked per-se, rather, it is SEVERELY throttled. Oh well.
