How much can you store?

Computer Storage

I'm talking about my home computer............

I'm currently adding another internal hard drive to bring me to 1.25 TB and I was curious what everyone else gets by with and how. My internal storage is 750 gb and I've got another 500gb external for backups. That doesn't include all those other flash drives, DVDs, CDs etc. but just my "necessary" storage.

Most of the space is either pictures (current camera uses 10+mb per pic) or music. I tend to rip at 320 CBR so most songs run 10-20 mb. The balance is programs (of course) wallpapers, Stardock stuff and even a couple games..........I like the Call of Duty series and I have a couple racing games. For some reason.....my Outlook file is over 1gb and my MS Money file is approaching that size......Talk about bloat!

Anyway, I'm wondering if I'm keeping too much crap or if I'm at least semi-normal ;)

I get by with a 120 GB main hard drive that's about half full. My Linux system runs on a 20 GB hard drive. I have all my pics, music and videos on my drive yet I'm still only half full.

I run about 910GB at home at the moment.  I'm a full 1TB here at the office on my desktop machine.

I'm at 440gb. Two internal hdd (one is 80gb used solely for MS programs and OS; the other is 180gb that stores all my other proggies and of course my SD software) and one external hdd that I use for pics, music, and movies (it's also 180gb and is about 60% full- 1200 mp3's, 53 episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender (I know...kids show, but at least it ain't Spongebob), and about 40 movies....)....

Out of 440gb, I've only managed to use somewhere between 100 - 115gb of space.....

300 internal, 300 external and a 500 external in the drive slot. I save pictures, music, videos, DVD movies, any programs that I download, any skins I download.

Yes it is all crap but I keep it anyway. :D

I know this may surprise but I m surviving at only 80GB, out of which only 3GB is free so I will add 80GB more in a few days.

I've got three internal hard drives, 800GB (2x 400GB @ raid0) HD space for XP Pro and media files, and another 500gGB HD for vista ultimate and a backup of media files. I also have two externals one that's 500GB that serves as a backup for my media files incase my system were to crash, and another 200GB that I keep attached to my system all the time that serves as a constant backup until the files are emptied onto my 500GB External.
I keep the 200 gig just in case my system should fail and my 500GB external is not attached, you can never have too many backups.
In the near future I plan to scrap my three internal hard drive setup for 2 1TB hard drives.
