Possibility to Host W/O ICO?

Behind a hardware firewall...hoping to play.

Hey all.  Question for the tech savvy players here:  Would it be possible to use Hamachi or a similar program to host a SOASE game when you can't host over ICO?

Okay, let me say something right now:  I'm behind a hardware firewall "provided" by my university.  I can't open, forward or change ports...so don't link me to any of that stuff.  I just want to know if it's possible for me to host a game using other means.  A bunch of us here want to play SOASE (we live in different buildings, different LANS) but because we have no control over our network settings, I'm the only one that bought the game...so if I can use something else to host, the others will buy the game (after I try it first of course).

If it's possible would anyone like to hook me up with a community that uses the method?  Or at least test with me?  I'm not going to recommend this game to my friends until I know we can play together.

Ok there's how it works
Althought u can not see your friend's hosted game when connected to the same hamachi channel with your friend. However if u go into ->run->cmd->type: ipconfig /all

there is a ethernet adapter hamachi ip displayed in there. copy that down, in this case, copy your friends down. And go into the game, in multiplayer, just type in the hamachi ip and port 6112, press connect, and there u go.

Some computers doesn't even require hamachi to connect, just type in the other guys internet ip address and works too.

Hamachi user here. I'm sure ICO is ok (now), but my forum is a close-knit community and we like private games and Hamachi is a better connection (we are all premium clients) than ICO in my opinion. We always connect via the Hamachi IP address of the host and games work without issue (other than one player who only has 1GB RAM starts to make the rest of us lag in a 4-vs-4 game after about 2 hours but it's ok, still a killer game!)
