Game oddities

Well, now that I am finally holding my own on this game, I was wondering if anyone has found any "unusual" things in their games. Surprises, easter eggs, or unexpected results?

 

Just curious.

 

Has Anyone tried using a novalith Cannon on a Gas Giant? Gonna try it tomorrow, too late right now. Probably have no big effect, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.

 

BTW, Bottlenecking really is the key, wish I had thought of it on my own.

I find it oddly soothing to zoom in on my trade drones and watch them zip from planet to planet. Try it some time while you're waiting for upgrades or ship production or whatnot.

I do that myself. Relaxing way to wait out those research queues.

Hmmm Novalith at the sun?

(surely won't do anything, but its still a tempting idea)

You COULD punch a hole in the sun, releasing lethal amounts of solar radiation and energy which would sterilize the whole system. Or your nuke would vaporize before it got close enough. Either result would look REALLY cool.

Actually, by Gas Giant I didnt mean the Sun, but the sun would be interesting as well. As Gas Giant I meant those Jupiter-like plantes that arent colonizable, the ones that have a possibility of reacting to large explosives.

I don't believe superweapons can be targeted on non-colonized planets :P
