How many LRMs does a nightmare make?

What number of LRMs do you build? At what point do you reach the tipping point where the LRMs come into their own. Also, what upgrade do you research to make LRMs more effective.

area tec hfor missiles. for effecktivness, number = as many as you can build without neglecting other ship types.

I played a 3v3 last night with some friends(they were new to the game) one of the players had a Marza and nothing but LRM's (literally like 30-40 at a fairly early stage of the game) so i said to my friend build Defense vessels they eat LRM's not paying attention he also built like 30-40 defense vessels... yeah Defense vessels and Illuminators ate through his LRM's and Cap ship like it was a fresh baked pie... made of reinforced Armour and awesome front load DPS but still he neglected fleet balance and paid for it. and honestly the only thing that LRM has going for it is cost effectiveness(which is great because TEC is an Economic super giant) the cluster warheads ability is a timed skill so it's hard to notice it's overall implication in a fight(it does help it just seems like it doesn't because it's always recharging)


If you took the Marza as your capital ship i'd say go heavy on the LRM's with some support in the form of cobalts and flak because when you do start researching missile techs the Average DPS of your fleet will increase more(Maarza and LRM's are missile based basically more Bang for your buck)
