Rebel attacks?

Any way i was playing a map online with 3 other ppl. i used the in game map creator for it. the map has two diffrent planet groups. one of them has a min of 3 to a max of 5 pirate bases. during the course of the game at certian points me and my teammates would find that rebels would attack our planets. i was wondering if this was because of a tech that we needed or what? im not shure it this is supposed to happen normally. all my planets had overl 90% alligence because i built comm centers. if anyone expirenced the "rebel raids" please explain why they happen. the rebels were really making us mad.... its like they would keep appearing over and over and over....

If you're getting random rebel raids spawning directly to your planets, it means that an opposing TEC player has researched insurgency (TEC's answer to the returning armada). The only way to stop the attacks is to kill or ally with the player.

Yup, I was in that game on the other side.

I specifically focused my research on unlocking Insurgency. Game was going fine until I got a minidump
