Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

Nice! Now we just need to make sure the Babylon 5, Star Wars, and BSG mods keep going along, and we'll have an awesome selection of mods for every cool show :)

For Gal Civ 2 there was a "total sci-fi mod" that combined the "star trek, babylon 5, star wars, and star gate" mods all into one. I wonder if sometime down the road we might see one of those for Sins if all of the mods finish.

Cool! Please post relevant details in the major project thread (pinned in this forum) please.

I will post sometime this weekend in that thread. As for this mod, I have found that when I export the model, it always mirrors it ingame, its a little annoying, but I can deal with it.

So are the races going to include:

Tau'ri
Goa'uld
Jaffa
Ori
Tok'ra

If so, it sounds like loads of fun.

what about the replicators, we need them.

Actually I was thinking of making the mod is two segments, the first being the Pegasus Side, this being Tau'ri, Asurans(Replicators), and the Wraith. After that I was going to go and do Milkyway side, which would be Tau'ri, Goa'uld, Asgard/OR/Anubis.

I have spent most of the last couple of days working on the 304 and getting it fully into game, and so far I have replaced all the icons for the ship. Instead of it showing the Sova Carrier, it now shows the 304 in both the Empire Tree, as well as when you zoom out. Plus the display picture is changed. Havent gotten to the Strings yet, but just giving everyone an Update, with Pictures!

Also got some extra textures working, but there is a small problem that I need to work out with Glows.

If you need a base to work at, there is a forum at sgnonline.com whose mods are willing to freely support any mod projects for Sins. If interested, simply register and ask and I am sure they are willing to be quite helpful to give you your own place over there.

I have only recently registered and this is probably now the third mod for Sins I would be interested in. A Stargate mod. Any details that can be given? After checking some of the other mods, wouldnt it be possible to make six races?

I could picture the following races as playable:
*Humans
*Goa'uld
*Wraith
*Ori
*Asurans
*Asgard

Just my thoughts, as I have said to some of the other mod projects, I wish you the best of luck on this endeavour. Will keep a watch over this mod as it develops.

I have a place to work at, a site that i am Admin of. It is located Here. Races havent been fully decided on yet, but I am sticking with Tau'ri, Wraith, and Asurans no matter what.

So will it be a purely Pegasus galaxy game? If so then there are the vessels of the Travelers also though the show has only revealed a single class of vessel among their ranks so might mean that a lot of new designs would have to be made.

If not a purely Atlantis mod then thoe others that I suggested I think would make some interesting factions. The Tok'ra could be added into the Tau'ri side as scouts or something like that. Anubis and his forces could be added to the general Goa'uld forces.

Anyway I look forward to seeing more from this mod.

I hate to get into a competition, but ClansOfSin.com is supporting two modding projects already, so you'll know exactly where to "pop" into to get support if you guys need it -- and we're very interested in hosting more. (Excuse the "mess" on the main website, I've had some formatting issues trying to get the ships done, and only just had someone come up with the idea of working on other subjects while I try to correct that).

Im not sure if Im going to do a purely Pegasus Galaxy mod just yet, but thats what it looks like. The Reason why Im hesitant of adding in the Goa'uld is that there is limited cannon designs (yes i know each race has limited designs) but the way the Hataks move and such would be difficult to simulate at the moment. Ori are a completely different reason... We have only seen 1 real ship, this being the Toilet seat, umm I mean the Mothership. Yes there is the fighter but we dont get a good look at it. Asgard are a great race, and I would love to add them in, but Im not sure how to incorporate them into the mod.

Hmmm I think thats a problem with a majority of the races in Stargate to be honest.I mean we have only seen about roughly 4 ship designs for the Wraith (5 if you count the transport ship in season 1 that was discontinued), 4 for the Asurans, 7 for the Goa'uld, 2 for the Ori, and 3 for the Asgard. I think regardless some new designs would have to be made if most of those races are going to be used personally. Oh and if you are interested, on the MGM website there is concept art for the Wraith Scout Ship that you hear about in "Aurora", its a very cool looking bat winged design.

My suggestion for the Ori side is perhaps using variant designs for the Ha'tak but coloured more white. The reason I say this is because in season 10 of SG-1 we are introduced to a Jaffa faction called the Illac Renin who follow the promises the Ori. So you could split it between smaller vessels crewed by Ori soldiers and converted followers while the higher ships are things like the Ori Mothership which are commanded by the Priors themselves. So a mixture between the two. Not sure about combating the effect of a Ha'tak moving through space in Sins though but thats my thoughts on it.

The Asgard I think would have some very powerful designs but all of them would need to be somewhat expensive.

I have decided to stick to my original plan and go with the Pegasus races. It makes things easier for now, plus I have plenty of designs to choose from, and others that I have/am designing

Sorry, no Furlings, lol. We dont exactly see any of their ships, at least if I remember correctly.

Update on the 304, I have the Strings Replaced for the 304, and screenshots will be provided.

To go with the BC304, I have also imported the F-302, there are some minor things I need to change on both models, but for now they work... Minus the 302 not flying like a 302. here are some more shots.
