Pervasive economy

How exactly does it work? Does it give you a portion of everything the other players spend? Only what they spend in some things? Does it give you only credits, or metal and crystals too? And what constitutes a trade, and what a sale for the purpose of the tech?

edit: A question that I forgot: Does it also give you a benefit for your own purchases?

Never actually used this tech. I usually prefer military solutions. But the modifier name implies that it's credits only. I kinda doubt you get it from your own purchases, but who knows. ;)

Right, I also have no idea what it does, but with that piece of text I will try and translate:

modifierType "DerivativeCreditsFromPurchasesPercent"
baseValue 0.000000
perLevelValue 0.100000

You get 10% per level of research of credits back from ALL purchases, I assume that means ships, buildings (Orbital and Planetary), and research. So at top level (2) you would get 20% back from every purchase made.

modifierType "DerivativeCreditsFromTradePercent"
baseValue 0.000000
perLevelValue 0.075000

When you hold you cursor over the 'Credits' display you can see what each Planet's Trade port(s) is/are making. At the top of that section, it should show the total Credit income per second of all your Trade Ports Empire-wide. So, you get 7.5% per level of this total on top of your ordinary income. Fully researched, 15% of all your Trade Ports income.

Hope that all makes sense.
