having trouble resuming a saved game in multiplayer

I was playing a match with a friend, been going for 4 hours now. After a long while without saving he dropped, so i saved the game, and we tried to resume. Now the game says that he doesnt have the necesary files. My guess is that he doesnt have the save game and that i have to send it to him, but i cant find it. Where are they stored? I'm using vista, and i cant find em.

You can't save AFTER he's left the game, because he won't save too, and so won't have the save file. You need to restart from the last autosave that he does have.

Wont manualy give him the file work? (even tho i guess it's not the recommended approach :P). Vista was hidding em from me, already found where they are. I'll use the autosave if there is no other solution then.

i guess not, because this is your save game with YOUR planets and race.

You can send your friend your save file and the game should load up fine. Your friend will lose his hotkey groups and other client specific information.
