Question Regarding Mutliplayer (Co-op)

Hello! I'm considering buying this game as an avid fan of GalCiv2 and it's expansions :)

However, my friends and I are wondering whether there is a co-op mode in the multiplayer portion of the game? That is, are we, the human players, able to play agaisnt a team of AI players? I searched the forum for co-op but only found a few outdated threads from last year, so apologies if this has been asked recently!

In short, yes. There is even a high quality video floating round the forum somewhere of just this.

It's the full 1.1 one, what you want is shown in the first part. Might need to download the large version (not gametrailers) to see it properly selected in the menu though.

Just lock the teams. (you and your mate, Team1 and the AIs Team2 or ect.).

Yeah multiplayer vs. AI is my favorite thing to do, its wicked fun :-) Just be prepared for some long games though if you set it on normal speed and have a huge galaxy. Not that long games are a bad thing since you can save at any time and if the other player drops out you can just load back in from an autosave or you can let an AI player take over for your friend.

i think you and i will get along nicely :P (with work and such....im too tired to play against other humans...so playing against the ai is all i have the mind to do with alot of my games now these days)

we should get together sometime and play against the ai.....i have some free time coming up this weekend for once....if you are up for it :)
