Argh email from Newsnight getting my hopes up


Want to hear something VERY sad? I went to go to sleep an hour or so ago and before I went to sleep I had a daydream about getting the email so I got up and checked me email and it had a new one! And..it was an add from Amazon. :-(

EDIT- And now lack of sleep has made my spelling and grammar even worse then my Internet usual.

I'm impatient for the pre-orders to get processed so that the angst goes away (which always happens).

Here's the math:

There are thousands of pre-orders.

How many pre-orders can be processed per minute?

60 minutes in an hour.

You can do the rest of the math.

Even at one pre-order processed every 10 seconds, that's 6 per minute.  That's 360 per hour. It would take 10 hours to do just 3,600 pre-orders.

Luckily, we can do a lot of pre-orders per minute but you get the idea.  The slowness is with the credit card companies really. Even they require a few seconds to validate.
