SupportBuff_Weapon Jam

Just to start things off, the game is great. I havent had that many problems with it up until recently. I keep getting a Particle Simulation Defintion not found: SupportBuff_Weapon Jam error while I am playing and I have to alt tab to see the error window, when I do sometimes I can skip it, often times it'll just crash the game. Anyone else experiencing this problem and is there any fixes to it, thanks.

I've never seen that one before. Have you tried reinstalling?

Also, how long ago did you do your current install?

I only recently joined the beta so this version 4 is the first one I have installed. I did it earlier today. I will try to reinstall it and see how that goes.

Hmm, this bug was fixed on November 2 and it should have been impossible to download the prior version (i.e the version where we broke the buff by mistake). We'll have to look into it - can you check in Stardock Central and let us know exactly what version it thinks you have? Thanks :)

I got this error in two recent games. I also have to alt tab to see the error window just like smartiso but this has not caused my game to crash. I also find that if I do not zoom in to watch the combat the error quits appearing.

It doesn't appear when you zoom in because the buff effect isn't told to render unless you are close to the object.

SDC says I have version 0.90[b].034. I reinstalled the game and I am still getting the error, although it seems not as often. I also haven't been zooming in on my battles as I noticed that increased my chances of the error reoccuring.

I had .90[b].034 installed (that was what it was labeled, and whats available for install...) -- in fact I still do! -- but SDC doesn't seem to "see" the install any more, so I don't know what version it thought I had installed. I think I know why, and I'm sure hitting "install" would fix not knowing Sins is installed, but I'm not going to go to the trouble of downloading the old version again until the fix is in.
