Monitor resolution

Monitor resolution

a request

I would like WinCustomize to run a poll on screen resolution. I know there are the common resolution of the old CRT monitors of 1280*1024, 1024*768, 1152*864, and 800*600, but with LCD monitors being used by more people and even the wide screen monitors being even more popular now it would be nice to see what percentage of people actually use which resolution. I think this would help artist who want to share their work to make their work to fir the community. Besides I am really curious to see how is the most popular screen size.

I am also interested to see who many multi-monitor users actually exist within our community. Maybe a dual poll a poll to see how many monitors a user has an then the resolution of the primary monitor.

this is just a request, hope others are interested in seeing the results as well

1024x768 at home

800x600, 1024x768 or 1280x1024 at work (I'm one of the few allowed to change resolution due to running our intranet site - most everyone one else is locked in to one resolution - so I have to be able compensate for them)

1024 x 768 on a 20" crt because the LCD isn't worth a crap only two years old and crapped out already but the old crt is still going strong. I plugged her back in last month, (thank goodness I didn't sell or give it away). The case is cracked on top right side cause hubby bumped it on the closet door and kinda dropped it (that was how he put it) as I was crying. But we plugged her in and everything works great. By the way, this is a ViewSonic and I have had several sizes but they all worked great when I gave them to friends and they all still work.

1920x1200 here - any aspiring artists would do well to work with the resolution as it can always be scaled down or cut without to adverse an effect. However, trying to scale up always creates nasty little artifacts.

You may want to adjust the DPI so that you get the best use of your pixels.

I keep the 1600x1200 resolution on a 19" monitor
