Well, my friends, tomorrow is the big day, when I get to have my right shoulder repaired {hopefully} and since I cannot type with one hand this little missive will be the last I am heard from for at least 3 plus weeks.

The Dr. Said my recovery will take twelve weeks and while I think he is wrong about the length of time I am willing to at least give that some thought. I am still terrified about being rendered unconscious, I keep thinking I just will not wake up, and even though it might seem like an unreasonable fear, none the less, it is still here inside of me.

Again I ask for kind thoughts, prayers or any other thing you might want to do to help calm me about this, I have to be at the hospital at 7:45 A.M. and my surgery is scheduled for 9:45 A.M.

While I am on hiatus, may all good things happen to all of you good people. Adventuredude is getting married on the 15th of this month so good thoughts for him and his soon to be lovely wife. Keep a good thought for Sabrina {littlewhip} just because I asked ok? Keep Adrian safe while he is still in country doing his duty.

My nephew Christopher is now officially a DESERTER! Boy is he in trouble! Keep him in your thoughts too please.

Pray for Colleen, my lovely wife as she has to be the one that takes care of me, lend her some of your excess strength please!

You're going to be fine, Elie.  You'll come through this will flying colors and will be on the road to recovery before you know it.

I'll be praying for you and Colleen both (and yes, I'll say a prayer for Sabrina and Adrian too).  Let me know if there's anything I can do for you; I'd love to be able to help.

What is the time difference between here and there? I will set the alarm on my phone for 9:45 am your time tomorrow and stop what I'm doing and try to be there with you in mind.

You *better* come through this with flying colors!  That's an ORDER (not that I'm a superior officer or anything like that).  If it has to come from an officer type, I guess we might be able to get the Clueless One to provide the order, but then it most certainly would be from an inferior, rather than superior, officer.

Seriously, I hope for all the best for you, and am sure you'll do just fine.  Just remember the light is brighter back down here for now.  Especially if you haven't taken Al Gore's advice and switched to compact flourescents

Please have Colleen check in for you some.  Pay her extra for taking dictation so she can put up some words from you occassionally.  At least give us some news on how you are doing (which will be F-I-N-E!)

On your nephew, I'm still hoping for the best as it is still not too late for him to work things out with Uncle Sam.  His career in the military may be over, but it doesn't mean he can't work things out to avoid bigger problems.

As to Colleen, tell her to check in here some for herself to draw some support for her efforts too.  She certainly needn't be a stranger.

You are three hours behind me it should be 9:31 there now.
