Using TV/LCD as computer display

Just a quick question someone could help me with. I just got a nice LCD TV that I would love to play Sins on. While I can plug my laptop into the TV via a DMI to HDMI cable I only get sound on the computer (and there is no easy cable that will integrate sound between the sound card single cable and the R/L audio input of the receiver). What I would ideally like to do is display both the game and use the receiver (or at least the TV itself) to play the sound. However, I have yet to find a product that can do this. I just want an easy way to use my TV as my monitor and surround sound as my speakers. If anyone has some thoughts the input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Your TV by itself is probably limited to stereo sound , so this should work fine for ya...

* Fits two phono (RCA) plugs at one end (RED/WHITE)
* Fits 1/4" stereo phone plug at other end

Run it from you speaker output on your PC to your Audio inputs on your TV.

If you still want sound via your PC speakers, just get an audio splitter and use that before you plug in the Y-adapter for your TV.

Its not perfect, but for 10-15 bucks, it will work.

He'll need a 1/8" stereo plug to use it with a computer. 1/4" is just a *bit* on the big side.

Good catch Kryo!

It was early... Anyway just go to radio shack , tell them what you want to do, and they will help

This one has a 1/8th plug!
