Jafo's First Law

If it can go wrong....it will.....to me.

For several days now I hadn't been receiving the CC notifications of submission rejection emails....which made things 'interesting' when asked in IRC "Why was my [insert skin/wall] rejected?"

I kinda looked even sillier [than usual] when on checking the rejected upload I realised it was one I had dealt with.   But all was resolved...it was a simple failed preview image thingie....

While I was poking and prodding Outlook with that ten-foot barge-pole everyone keeps handy when dealing with System Bugs [tm] I found what was probably my first Wincustomize rejection email..... 24th of July, 2001.  Oddly it didn't make much sense...the gist of it was "XP issue" - Lord knows what that meant....

A few years ago I came to the realisation that keeping ALL these CC emails was getting a bit 'anal'...so I deleted a whole bunch.

Now, other than that first one....I only have them going back to Jan 2005.

I put 'em all in a folder....cleverly named 'WC'.

Even with that 'spring clean' there are still 8086 of them.

Next month it'll be spring again [here].....

....nah. I'll hang onto 'em....you never know what you might need to do next.....

Do you have the last two years of newspapers and Architectural Digest lining your hallway?? 25 years (or more) of dead computers and cars in your garage?
I suspect you do...

You can also archive them into a separate .pst file if you want.

My WC folder says 6347 e-mails - I had a pc problem a couple of years ago which lost me huge chunks of e-mail. The back-up was corrupt too grrr - 'effin' Outlook

I find them useful. Every so often you'll see a thread entitled 'rejected - why?', or words to that effect. Sure enough there will be an e-mail from a mod explaining why.
