Wife Getting Tattoo Part II

Wife Getting Tattoo Part II

Please submit thoughts

Ok, Mari is pretty stoked about the yin-yang concept, and I think maybe my crude drawing didn't explain what she and I talked about well enough, so I took a little more time to try to show the concept we had in mind. Would this one (or variations of any overlapping between yin-yang and the flies) change your thoughts any? Thanks for comments.

Here's another attempt.

It's like a sore tooth...I can't quit fiddling with it!

You guys are hilarious!! I love reading your interactions.

Don't really have anything constructive to add since I know nothing about tattoos...except you guys have almost convinced me to think about wanting one.

you should get one

everyone should.

yes, its true, i do tattoos, and i love it.

the only thing i would worry about getting a tattoo in another country, or even another state, is the touch up. not all tattoos, need one, but a lot do, and its hard to get a free, or cheap touch up when the artist who did that tat is in italy.

its not the only thing i would worry about, but i would think about it. the other stuff is clean shop, portfolio, blah, blah, i'm sure you got all that covered.

if it was me, i'd do it.

I like the third one a lot, but I would leave the wings overlapping on the top like the 2nd one.  I think it gives a nice depth.  I'd also suggest having all the antennae create the same shape (the free ones) for symmetry and balance.

I can envision the yin yang being is a classic black and white with the bodies and outline of the dragonflies in dark green or another subtle dark color..  The bright colored wings of the dragonflies (in hot colors like red, orange, and yellow) overlap the yin yang giving yet another balance to the meaning.

As LW once said, I'm not nearly as curmudegonly as the guy I play on JU. I just act that way to scare away those that can't form their own opinions because...well...because I hate them and think they're destroying the progress of the human race. Another day, another blog.

I don't see you as a curmudgeon, Ock. Even in disagreement (which is frequent), I value your input.

I can't add anything about the tats that others haven't already added other than to say I think they're a pretty neat concept.

"Even in disagreement (which is frequent), I value your input."

I second that.
