A Question

about the models

First off, I apologize if this has already been asked, and I somehow missed the thread.

I do a little bit of 3D modeling as a hobby, so I was wondering what is the acceptable polygon count (or whatever is the terminology) for each of the different ship classes.

If the Devs can take some time off from making the best game in history, I would be very thankful.

Well, I know that the game is designed to "scale" well to system specs, so I'm going to guess that while the engine itself will allow a (large) upscaling of the number of polygons allowed, the real limit is based on the system playing.

What I am really asking for is the average poly count of the different ship classes that are currently in game. The game runs fine on my mid level system, so if I were to hypothetically model anything with aspirations of putting it in game, I would want to achieve similar levels of playability.
