On top of that they say that George (the brave dog in the story) had a heart problem.
I say if he had a heart problem, it was that he had a big heart that made him so brave in the face of such overwhelming odds - poor dog deserved better than what he rec'd! The story didn't mention anything about the owner of those pitbull's, he should definitely be brought up on charges of some sort. What if George wasn't there to save the day, what would have happened to those 5 little children?

Watta dog...no fear.

rushing the children does not mean that the dogs were going to attack them. as a pitbull owner my dogs rush to greet my 6year old grandson to lick him happily. I also understand that a pitbull should not be running free, so the owner should be held accountable. What a shame that because (yet again) of an irresponseable pitbull owner a sweet family pet had to die.

My daughters pit, I say she is a mix, loves the baby here and I had a Dobie when my kids were babys. I can tell you when it comes to fire our dog is nuts, She doesn't like lighters, cigs dropped on the ground are attacked and put out, (yes we check her paws but she is florida raised) and she has very tough pads, and her owner is a groomer. Fire detecting to check the battery is a nightmare for hours with her. We know if a fire starts she will not run, ofcouse we also know she may die trying to put it out. This is her only vise as we know it. She is 5 years old and bald as a potbellied pig, always has been. (Blue) to you know it alls, dark gray to me and tan. picture included. Any owner who has trained their dog to be anything but loving and has been given nothing but love in return should be praised, those who put the wammy on pits by training them to fight brought this fear on everyone. I have put her picture on my site http://mschleisner.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx. I feel so sorry for poor George.

Well Jafo took off the picture of my daughters pit bull so sorry you can't see her. anyway, she is still a great dog and I don't care who sees her, Jafo you are always after me. I see that now, no matter what I put in my own gallery it's just you who takes my stuff out. It was in my personal gallery and that should have been that, unless the label as a wallpaper means something different than it was, I use it as a wall often, no problem. Jafo is such a nice guy when it comes to getting on my case. I'm done here, Jafo you just seem to ruin my day everyday. What is it about me that bugs you so much? I am old, I am blond, I am new to uploads, I am stupid to you, I just don't get why you seem to attack me on a daily basis. Get past whatever it is, please and leave me alone. I am not here to bug you personally. I want to post my pictures on my site and be left alone. If I am doing it wrong then tell me but stop beating me up all the time. It's really getting on my nerves.

Jafo if you care and anyone else cares ally the pit bull is on my site as my desktop picture, hope that takes care of any problems. If not my cat Genny will be back again, seems jafo shouldn't have a problem with that.

mschleisner ...the gallery you submitted your photo to is called 'Wallpapers'.

One specific criteria for a wallpaper is for it to be in the proportions of a recognised desktop wallpaper....aka screen resolution.

These days, with widescreen monitors [LCD] there are considerably more acceptable resloutions, eg 1680x1050 is now a valid format...but it was not always.

Currently still the most commonly used is 1024x768.

Either way, proportions of a 'portrait' format photograph will not be accepted as wallpapers as they are never going to suit a desktop proportion.

Site members have the opportunity to upload ANY image of ANY size to their Photo Gallery, as that is NOT intended for suitable wall images but for such things as a standard photograph such as you continually attempt to submit to 'wallpapers'.

I'll post a link to mine...as an example of the ideal location.....[though site is being recalcitrant at the moment]....

It's amazing how someone can type in one huge paragraph with no discernible structure or logic and the last sentence can be completely off-topic from the first and off-topic from the entire post to begin with. What does this topic have to do with wallpapers, uploads, or this self-perceived dislike from Jafo anyway? Don't mind me I'm just ranting. Oh wow I just noticed this topic is 2 months old...score. A 'typical' photo Gallery ....for photos....

....a typical Photo....and also in portrait profile and thus equally unsuitable as a wallpaper....
