Friends or the Computer.

A random discussions thread.

If you were given the choice, as say a punishment, to not be able to hang out with your friends for a month, or not playig any computer games(including game consoles) then which would you chose?

(sorry for the extermely run-on sentance, I should know better)

And why?

Seems to be very lopsided.

By the way this was spawned for a real life choice I had to make, I just wanted to see what other people would answer to it.

What did you choose, and why?

this is a nice topic.

umm.. i would stick with computers. why? because friends can always come through and see you on your computer, duh!

Friends may be off doing other things, my computer will always remain loyal...

well...
appears I'm the only person who would ditch the computer. but then again, I have to see my friends every day, we share very similar scheduals.

Hehe, I guessed it would have been lopsided on a gaming forum.

Hm... maybe Schem isnt as anti-social as I expected.

Its only limited to computer games.

AIM and forums dont count.

I'd choose the computer. Because while I do like to hang out with my friends in person, it is very fun to shoot them up online in BF2 as well. Besides, since I moved to college I only get to see my friends in person once a week if I'm lucky since they all live 60 miles away. So a month would only amount to like 3 visits.

Yeah, I would choose computer. I only seem my local friends about twice a month, sometimes as long as once every two months, so wouldn't be a big change for me. And my people at work, well, I'll see them at work.

As I have no friends who I hang out with (locally anyway), I'd go with the PC also.

I guess age is also a factor.

Dont feel bad Yarlen, you make a great Stardock rep, just look at how well you communicate with people

And I guess I will now give my answer to the question.

I picked friends, the reasons being
1) Party that night
2) No big problems about not being able to meet with friends about every day or so
3) Spending time with friends appeals to me more than playing any computer game
