Colonized asteroids don't look any different?

Ok so you can colonize an asteroid to take it over in a given sector, but the look doesn't seem to change, I would think there would be little buildings on the asteroid or at least some tunnels and tubes, lol...

If you upgrade the asteroid, two buildings appear after it gets enough population, you can watch the little ships fly back and forth.

I haven't seen this... I will have to zoom in more I guess. I know upgrading the asteroid base increases population, but it didn't seem to show it off as well, as say when you upgrade a planet.

Why would you live on the surface of an oddly shaped asteroid? My guess would be the colony is on the inside.

This is correct. Of course not possible on a Dead asteroid. Dead asteroid heh, i didn't know there were alive ones :/

i think they mean, the mineable asteroids, not the one you colonize. Havents seen any buildings on the one they should be living on

That is a colonized asteroid being bombarded... It has no buildings or signs of life...
