Here's a fun one. In a game I was playing, the Altarians surrendered to the Torians. Then, several years later, I got a message from the Altarians saying that they were going to join in my war against the Arceans.

Apologies if this is a repeat of something, but 470+ replies is a little much for me to wade through. I hope Frogboy doesn't feel the same way!

Currently I'm at war with the Drengins, and periodically they pop up a diplomatic channel to sue for peace. Frustratingly frequently, but not every time, clicking on the "Leave" button crashes the game to desktop. Reload and its fine for a while, but then eventually leaving another diplomatic session crashes the game again.

Phenominally great game, otherwise!

I have an autosaved game that will yield the same results every time - a clean crash to the desktop:
Load autosaved game
"Done" to clear Yearly Report
"Done" to clear Research Screen
"Done" to clear project Earth screen
From common game view select "Foreign Policy"
Click Stats tab - initial view is Altarian stats

If I click on Torian view the stats screen changes fine

If I click on Arceanian view from either the Altarian view or the Torian view, the application will simply terminate and the desktop is displayed. Appears to be something corrupted for the Arceanians. Can restart and get same duplicate.

Haven't tried rebooting after crash - might be worth that to eliminate a stuck memory cache value.

Not sure if this is a bug, but Constructors don't seem to get speed bonuses from Starbase module upgrades. Was this intentional? If so, how am I supposed to know that? And are there any other ships that are (or rather, aren't) affected in this manner?

A colonizer reached a star and the planet list showed at the right waiting for a planet selection. Before selecting this I clicked on the "Turn" button. After this the "Turn" button seemed to get stuck in the processing state. I had to save the game and reload it, though I didn't have to exit the game.

Some sort of strange overflow bug here.

I have a planet that has about 75 military production, and it is producing an Overlord (1500 cost) every single round. The "time to produce" always shows "next turn". I have no idea why this suddenly started, but I have a save file I can send in if anyone wants it.

Caught up after the weekend, finally.

Version 1.02.040

Odd UP Issue.

Only Drengin and I are in the UP. UP Issue: have Arceans give us 3 percent of their economy. Seems... odd.

Version 1.02.040

Typo in Event:

"Scouts report that a strange wormhole has __oppened__ ..."

Should be __opened__

Oh, regarding the "race has triggered something that will allow them to conquer us and rule the universe" event, in each game that it's happened, I had selected the "Lucky" pick.

I don't know if that makes a difference, but it is annoying.

I also don't know if it'll do this with the newest patch.

Version 1.02.040

2 errors in the diplomacy screen. (Chatting with Drengin)

String not found in place of 'Leave' on Leave button.

Sliders for them to pay money for something extends well beyond both the right and left edge of the sliders. Both amount and number of turns sliders.

Not sure if mentioned in here, but my Excalibers are invisible and won't finish building. They stick at "Next Month".

I've still experienced the "right click on map and wrong ship heads to destination bug", and have a trade oddity to report:

For some reason, all alien civs treat Defense and Weapons Theory as precious. I've tried to trade them a pile of techs for them, and the screen stays yellow. It seems that military techs are now treated as more valuable, but I think it may have gone a few notches too far!

Also, when I was using the mouse wheel to try to adjust government spending (after clicking on one of the arrows), it adjusted research spending instead.

Enhancement request: be able to type desired levels in or lock specific sliders.

Just updated to version 1.02.040.. Haven't played much but the first thing
I noticed is that when I contact another race there's "String not Found" on
the button that used to say "Leave" or something like that.

Great game btw.

Alignment research seems to be broken - I *KNOW* that I've researched "Master Race", but I also *KNOW* that I never picked a bad choice even once (because at that point I didn't know how the alignment system worked and feared dire consequences from picking C). I'll try to find the safegame of that. Likewise, I remember getting three or four of the "good" technologies without ever having seen the "good" skin (saw that in my last game for the first time, two turns before losing :p).

Oh... Just noticed.. The "String not found" is not the only thing gone bad on the
diplomacy screen.. My sliders on the tribute (both months and money) are somehow
f**ked up.. The sliders don't work and I have to use the arrows to define the amount.

Ok.. I'll spam some more :) I just got the "Economic boom is over" cut-scene and
after I pressed the Ok - button the game crashed.. :( Don't now if it happens every
time, have to reload and try.

Had a bear of a time getting the updates to load, and now that they have, I'm not sure it was worth the effort.

I, too, have experienced the "String not found" bug on the diplomacy screen, and the wrong-ship-moves-after-selecting bug. I don't remember this happening on 1.01. Haven't had the end-of-game crashes yet, nor have I tried the Tribute sliders (I try to avoid paying tribute).

Seems like the new updates have introduced a couple of new bugs...

The sliders in the diplomacy screen look munged in some odd way. You can click on the arrows to adjust amounts or type them in directly, but the text doesn't change color until you click done (in other words, it's not updating dynamically).

I'm also getting the "string not found" where the "Leave" button would be.

Finally, I'm getting no soundtrack in normal play. I get music in diplomacy screens, cut scenes, and when I've just researched a new tech, but the game is dead silent when I'm in the normal view.

Okay, music is playing. The process of patching somehow resulted in the music getting turned off.

Ok, so I just updated the game a couple of hours ago. I reloaded a game (the one that crashed yesterday) and proceeded to play. I tried to do some trading - my 'frictionless clothing' vs. their money (15x100 bucks) - I could set the amount fine, but when I clicked on done it never showed at the bottom, in the deal window. The Altairans(?) thanked me kindly for my
nice gift. I tried again with another race and again the money didn't show so I just cancelled and left.

Also, I just researched the tech that allows you to build 'gravitic accelerators' or whatever they are called, another
Trade item. I wanted to build it, but couldn't - it simply didn't show on the menu. None of the other civs seem to have it. ?!?!?

Twisti, I've seen the same thing with the aliens. The evil Drengins have managed to research Hyperwarp. I know it's them, because nobody else in the galaxy has it.
