A special thank you

I'd like to give a special thank you to all those volunteers who make WinCustomize a great place to be. I visit the site frequently every day and it never ceases to amaze me the amount of time people are willing to spend helping each other. I'll give you an example...

I was just reading a thread about problems a couple of people were having with Logon Studio. Between them Cavan1, boss0190 and Bichur sorted both problems out - thanks guys, fantastic work

And how many of us would be stuck with pc problems if it weren't for yrag's technical expertise?

Those are just a couple of examples, there are many more people who also give time and effort to make this a better place, too many to mention by name. I'm talking about you. WinCustomize would not be able to function the way it does without you.

I'm sure you won't mind if I speak for everyone when I say a special thank you to all those who make our journey through WinCustomize a pleasant and enjoyable one. Without you customization would not be what it is today, and we would be off somewhere not knowing what we were missing. This community and its members are something we should all be proud of

I know it's not Political correctness to pat yourself on the back ....therefore I'll do it for you, Fuzzy.

You deserve just as much thanks as others here..

And I agree with everything you said up there. This has got to be one of the best communities on the net.

Very well said, Fuzzy....WC is an exceptional community because of the great people who frequent the place and regularly contribute their time & efforts to make this virtual home away from home the best on the net.

Like you said, there are too many 'up there' people to mention in just one post, so a very warm thanks to all whose time and efforts make WC an outstanding community....

Oh, and what Erk said, Fuzzy.....you are just as deserving of thanks, praise and credit as any other who contributes here.

I totally agree! I have hung around WC for a year or more, but only recently have started entering the forums after reading them for so long.

I was one of the people getting help, for logons, from Boss0190 and Bichur. It ended up just needing a re-install of Logonstudio, but Boss spent 2 hours patiently trying different things with me. He even spent time a couple weeks ago explaining to me how to "rip" one of his logons for private use!

And, it seems wherever I look in the forums Bichur is always there to do what he can.

I generally find the more experienced members seem to want to help. I can't count the amount of things I've learned, about skins and computers, by hanging around and reading the posts. I've found I can even "anticipate" which experienced skinners will show up to help with certain problems or questions people have.

Fuzzy, Skinhit, Po', yrag, Zubaz, - the list is very long! The conversations themselves also make for some entertaining reading!!

Thank you to everybody who makes this work!

Great post Fuzzy. So many times I've learned something new or fixed a problem just by reading the forum. Sometimes I just save info for later use and the links to fixes and sometimes just fun stuff are always appreciated.

And like Erk said - pat yourself on the back too - you have helped me out on numerous occasions.

I can certainly attest to the help with logons(and other things of course). If Boss0190 hadnt been around I would still be working on my first logon.
Fuzzy you have helped me on more than one occasion.
Gary is ALWAYS here.
Adam and Neil care about how their programs are running.(not volunteers but not too busy to help with a prob)
Erk,Island Dog,the list goes on............

I agree, theres definitely a good crew of people who put alot of time and effort into helping people with problems.  I really appreciate how much intiative is taken to help out new users, welcoming them into the community.  These forums show a strong sense of moral and ethical feeling, minimizing problems, and emphasising good 'behavior' from newcomers.  I'm glad I dont have to keep an eye on the forums 24/7, since I can trust that our friends will help out wherever needed.

Kudos to all!

I concur. Great folks here.

/me huggles everyone here

I can scan the forums and see titles that I know will be answered by one of "the regulars."  There are also some that I know (think) I can answer best.

I really look forward to when a new person posts here.  I find myself hoping they come back.

And I can't get it out of my mind that for every one person that posts here, thousands are reading.  There are so many people here that only know me and the rest of this community by what is posted here.  It means a lot to me to have everyone feel as welcome as I was (except you loser pirates, you are welcome to leave, thankyouverymuch).

So thanks to all you regulars, moderators, Stardock employees, noobs and everyone else I missed.  You all make this place home.

I agree!

I think this year we will see even more community involvement here at Wincustomize.

There's quite a few here that help when they can.
There's even some (KiloKrash for one) that mention obvious first steps some of us miss when trying to answer an issue.

If it weren't for the likes of Fuzzy, Yrag, and all the rest of y'all posting answers that worked previously - I wouldn't have any posts to fall back on looking for answers.

I try to help when and where I can (forums or IRC), though I'm not nearly as familiar with all this stuff as some of the others here. I love this place, great community of people.
