Favorite Star Wars Ships

OK,
We are working hard on the Star Wars Alpha Mod release. I was intrested, as I worked on different ships to add to the list of ships to be released, what was people in the forums favorites, so as I could make sure to relase those ships? So let me know what you guys want. I got all the warlords ships and a few for other sites. Just list them here and I will see what I can do. I may have already done it as I have completled 52 ships already.

I like two ships, the Old Republic Dreadnaught heavy cruiser, and the Banking Clan cruiser. I like the Nebulon-B too, though.

My favourites are the Millenium Falcon, X-Wing, A-Wing, Tie-Fighters, Tie-Bombers, Star Destroyers, Super Star Destroyer and the Death Star (both versions). There was also a cool luxury ship/shuttle that looked like a kind of space yaught with three sails (making up a triangle type thing).

None from the new films spring to mind/stand out.

I agree. Some ships I like.

Vitory Class
Nebulan B frigate
Star Destroyer
Corvette (Blockade Runner)
X-Wing
Tie Interceptor
B-wing
Millenium Falcon
Y-Wing

Ships I didn't like for some reason.

Mon Calamari Cruiser (I loved killing the giant pickle in Star Wars:Tie Fighter.)

All time favorte, hands down, is the A-wing. I love my wedge shape beauties.

Other than that, the Victory class Star Destroyer, Imperial class Star Destroyer, and the Eclipse/Soverign class Super Star Destroyer (yes the Eclipse is bigger, but the overall design is the same.) A-wing is my all time favorite, but I mostly like Imperial capital ships. Angular, majestic, multi-puropse and powerful!

I really like the yt-2400 Dash Rendar's ship the Outrider. Other than that the nebulon-b and star destroyers.

I love the sith battleships from KOTOR and my favorite has got to be the republics Ep3 battleships. I just adore that thing

my favorites would be the Nebulon B frigate and corvette (blockade runner)
a nice twist would be to include some of the ships from the comic like the Tarkan
(original marvel series)

I like any of the ships from the Star Wars role playing game or the Star Wars game Rebellion Such as the Lancer class frigate or the Carrack lt cruiser

I love the Delta-7 Authersprite Jedi Starfighter the most.
Second favorite would be the ETA-II Actis Interceptor Jedi Starfighter.

I also liked the Venator Class Star Destroyer(the Episode-III Republic Cruiser/Star Destroyer).

I like the Star Viper/Virago from Shadows of the Republic.

That thing is beautiful and DEADLY.

While I haven't seen the Old Republic Dreadnaught in any of the movies, period, nevermind the new films, it might be in there somewhere, but I doubt it. I first learned of it while playing Star Wars: Rebellion. It's pretty nice-looking; but ancient.

The Banking Clan cruiser is nice, in my opinion, I like ships with a wider front than rear; though not taller, just broader. I also like symmetry, alot.

The Dreadnaught is in ROTJ as part of the Rebel Fleet. It's in the background on one of the shots of the camera moving through the fleet in the upper left corner I believe. I think it's when the Falcon is flying to the front of the fleet before entering hyperspace. It's small, it's blurry, but it's there

Well, I can tell you that most of the ships on this list we have models for and will be doing/have done. Some of the ships mentioned, we just have not been able to find models for, and we do not have a modeller capable of building them from scratch.

Yes, we realize it, but they fill in the holes we would have otherwise . And the models look good.

Most of them DO exist, even if only in book form. A number of those ships are in the NJO series.

Hm, I don't know all SW-ships, but from those I do know... :

1. SSD Executor (by far the best )
2. TIE Advanced (Avenger?)
3. TIE Advanced X-1 (Vader's fighter)
4. TIE Defender
5. Chiss Clawcraft ? (no idea how it looks, but the descriptions in the books sounded nice)
6. TIE Bomber
7. Imperial Shuttle (Lambda ?)
8. XJ-Wing (not that I've seen it, I'm just curious and think it might look good... )
9. Tri-Droid
10. winged MonCal (which one is that??)

Except for the X-1, they all seem to be in already, so...
(the Executor IS in, is it?? *confused* I assumed so because I saw it in the other thread...)
And though I don't really like the design of the Eclipse (it's front TOTALLY messes up the looks of it ) , I certainly would enjoy letting one loose in-game

Btw., will you also add in the SW ground units? Episode II was pretty impressive there...

My favorite is that hammerhead republic capital ship from KOTOR.


Edit: I just remembered that ship was the endar spire.

Also I would like to add the ship leviathan, also from KOTOR.

We're trying on the ground units, though some appear to be hard coded. The XJ Wing is just an X-wing that has been upgraded through design improvements. It looks like an X-Wing with a little bit "fatter" fuselage. Exectutor IS in game.

No Moldy Crow. It isn't one of the models we have.

oh and i forgot to ask, is there a website that shows pictures of the models to look at? would be interesting to see what you guys have come up with


No Website yet, you'll have to wait for the alpha version of our mod to come out, which will have GCW era ships, with a few others, our race pack, an example of our tech tree for choosing factions, and some planetary improvements and achievements.

Also I would like to add the ship leviathan, also from KOTOR.


We've got the Ravager from the KOTOR series.
