Yeah I am really surprised and please the imperial pack got almost 3,000 downloads now. There are some real star wars fans out there.

Thats odd, what kind of connection do you have? I just checked and their downloading fine now.

I would like to second Freeman43's problem. I've tried two different browsers (firefox and IE), and The server connection resets after an approximate 50% download.

Edit: Initially I only tried to download the Imperial and Rebel Ship packs as they were of most interest to me. I then tried downloading the CIS, Old Republic, and KOTOR ships and something interesting happened.

The Old Republic behaved like the its Imperial and Rebel counterparts, loading to about 50% and then timing out.

I then tried the KOTOR ship pack, and it downloaded beautifully, and I look forward to using it in my future games.

The CIS was a different story entirly. It got all the way up to 93%(!!), and then timed out. That prompted me to examine the file fragments that I had laying in my computer to see if there was anything in common with one another, and interestingly enough, there was. After checking the properties of each of the files, I noticed that they all averaged out to around a 13 MB file size.

This got me thinking about 2 potential problems with the Downloading of the larger ship packs.

1) The server resets itself after a certain period of time. Hopefully this is the case. I would rather this be the issue because that means I only need to grab me a faster internet connection in order for me to Download the files. It could also be solved by looking into the servers and see if that parameter could be altered to allow for more time.

2) The server resets after a certain amount of data is sent. If this is the case, then I don't know how to solve it on my side of the internets.

I'll be trying to see if I could continue exploring the possibilities, but time may be an issue for me. I hope what I've done so far helps.

Ok I see what you guys mean it is timing out. I'll let Stefan know, I am working on a better set too so maybe I'll release them in smaller sets like Imp capital, fighter, and so or something.

I just want to thank you guys for the interest in our work. To see your plans make our effort justified.

Have you had any memory problems? I noticed that multiple SW races running at the same time with all the new models (and some SW planet textures), will quickly hit the 2gb limit. I made a personal semi-TC for DA using the available packs from i-mods, and with multiple races it hit the limit very quickly. I was running with many different texture packs, races (From ST and B5 as well), but it seemed that no matter the settings or choices, it ended in a CTD.

Yes, when I used them with DA I had all kinds of memory missing texture issues. I have not tried yet with TA which is supposed to fix the memory issues. I have been too involved with some new mods to go back and fix my personal mod to work with TA. I'll get to it sooner or later.

I've been too lazy / busy to convert it over as well. I mainly just don't want to do all of that work for an unplayable mod again. If you need help working with this one when the time comes let me know. If I'm not too busy with other projects I'd be happy to lend a hand.
